Copperweld CCA Sustainability Program

In recognition of World Environment Day, Copperweld is highlighting its scrap program for Copper-Clad Aluminum (CCA). For over a half of a century, Copperweld has recycled CCA, which can be used in a variety of materials such as brass, aluminum alloys, and stainless steel.

Everybody knows CCA is a theft deterrent.  Traditional consumer scrap channels balk at accepting CCA scrap, leaving the job to specialized sorting and scrapping operations that are often out of state or too many miles away.  As a solution, Copperweld now offers a program for the recovery of our building wire scrap, ensuring that CCA scrap wire receives a second life.

How does this program work?  Once the minimum of scrap has been collected, we will arrange to have the wire picked up and delivered to our scrap facility.  The freight is on us!  A credit for each pound of insulated CCA can be applied toward future orders.  We take the hassle out of recycling.

Combined with the energy efficiency of Copper-Clad Aluminum, our scrap program reinforces Copperweld’s commitment to long-term sustainability and resource conservation.
